Julie Boulton

Working at the intersection of systems change and sustainable development, Julie is an experienced sustainability strategist, providing advice, analysis and education on the implementation of sustainability practices and frameworks (Sustainable Development Goals, wellbeing indexes, doughnut economics and circular economy in particular).

Julie’s ability to build collaborative relationships and collectively design strategies, roadmaps and transformational pathways that drive transformational and generational impact for both people and planet is highly valued. She is also skilled facilitator and an engaging communicator, regularly commentating and presenting on sustainability issues.

Julie is a Senior Adviser and Circular Economy Leader for the Australian Fashion Council, a Strategic Advisor to the Development Intelligence Lab and an advisor to Monash Sustainable Development Institute and her clients include federal and state government, businesses and philanthropic organisations and their networks.

Julie has a background in policy development for the federal government, with deep expertise in international development policy(DFAT/AusAID). She holds a Masters in International Development and undergraduate degrees in Arts (International Relations) and Law and is a qualified lawyer.
