Situation 2026 will surface the best AI-for-development ideas in the Indo-Pacific.

A single day, co-hosted with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Canberra Innovation Network where:

1. Ideas are pitched to a room of decision-makers, with the strongest earning a place in a closed-door policy dialogue with senior Australian Government officials, philanthropists and experts.

2. Solutions are showcased to the organisations and investors who could scale them.

3. Development organisation, government agencies, policymakers, philanthropists and investors are connected with ideas and solutions they can act on.

FAQ's

Do I need a finished idea or product? No. We welcome ideas at any stage — from an early hunch to a policy proposal to a tested solution. Where you are in the process doesn't disqualify you.

Do I need to be based in Australia? No. The challenge is open globally to anyone over 18, as an individual or team.

Can I come even if I'm not contributing an idea or showcasing? Yes. Situation 2026 is for anyone working at the intersection of AI and development.
